In 1916, Chinese immigrant Joe Lung purchased his first home in Austin, Texas—an extraordinary achievement during the Chinese Exclusion era. More than a century later, filmmaker June Xu follows the paper trail and discovers that the deed tells a different story: the property was purchased and held in the name of someone else. We follow June’s investigation journal to solve this puzzle.
